The IUCN publishes a “Red List” that is regarded as one of the most influential sources of information for species conservation in the world. I often visit the IUCN website to learn more about the endangered species, and I noticed that the site has gone through a new makeover.
It is striking to learn that more than 26,000 species are threatened with extinction! I hope this change in layout can help direct more attention to the loss of biodiversity in the world. (I also did not know that amphibians comprise 41% of the species under threat.)
